Top of the World: Coffee Table Book

"Discover the Top of the World" is a collection of digital collages inspired by Alaska's rugged and untamed landscapes. Each collage in this coffee table book is crafted using hand-sourced imagery that was cut and scanned from a thrifted 1979 "Alaska Travel Guide" by Rand McNally. I aimed to evoke a sense of nostalgia while blending vintage textures with modern digital design techniques and colors.

By using only images from a 1979 guide, I aimed to preserve that era's aesthetic while giving it new life through digital manipulation. I relied on Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to meticulously layer, blend, and enhance the scanned materials, creating a unique fusion of analog and digital art. This project came about as one part of my wide range of work that stems from my love for sourcing physical, often overlooked, materials and reimagining them into fresh, modern compositions.
